Rarity - Very, very, rare in this quality untreated. Anything faceted, gem-quality above .50 is rare and gets rarer. If you see this gem less than 150.00 a carat it is almost always treated. Usually dyed or glass.
What makes this gem special? This very hot, French blue color. The fact that it is Brazilian, untreated, natural material intros gorgeous blue with such good clarity and cut. It is are to find this color apatite so clean. OFTEN faked, dyed.

Anything over 2 carats should be carefully purchased because they are super rare in high quality at this size or larger without heavy, visible inclusions.
