TOP Specimen. Covellite and Pyrite, Extremely Rare Display Mineral, USA Mined from the long closed "Leonard mine," in Butte which is considered to have produced some of the finest specimens in the industry and the world. The colors you see are not amplified by Photoshop or any other editing program. This is not a tiny specimen we have seen some specimens for sale barely bigger than a grain of table salt so please READ listings carefully. The color is an exceptional electric Indigo blue that changes to an amazing purplish pink eggplant color and also has the highly desirable purple and red flashes. The pyrite is situated perfectly to add beauty without blocking the covellite's iridescent colors.

This is a gem quality, small display specimen of rare covellite, w/pyrite on quartz from the renowned Leonard mine, in Butte Montana. Dynamite comes in small packages; this is approximately 27 grams of incredibly vibrant, metallic & iridescent, indigo blue, with brilliant flashes of purple & red-beautiful contrast to the gold pyrite & white quartz.
