HOLD Peruvian Opals, GIA CERTIFIED, 17.48 Total Carat (2) Ice Blue with Rare Mulberry Hued Edges, Matched Pair.

DISCOUNTED FOR LIMITED TIME. Close Offers considered. These are likely the only natural blue and reddish mulberry gems on the planet except for fakes and ours passed the GIA certification as not treatment or dyes etc. Apparently they hit a pocket long ago and started calling the ice blue and mulberry Opals, “Flowers Blossoming.” We caught not one but two unicorns.

Gem Type - Opals (Rare)

Shape - Cushion Cabochons

Weight - 17.48 Total Carats

Size - 18.10 x 18.09 x 4.78 mm and 18.17 x 18.02 x 5.04 mm

Color - Ice Blue/Mulberry (Cannot be replaced)

Clarity - translucent

Luster - Great translucency

Origin - Peru

Treatment - None

Hardness - Standard opal so best for casual wear or earrings. Too delicate for everyday wear in rings. Mounted to back on onyx, black enamel or black Jadeite would bring out the mulberry tones more.

Notes - I was lucky to get this matched pair of 17.48 carat unusual opals from Peru before they made it into the Chinese Market. This rare blue surrounded by a light mulberry hue are translated to, "Flower Blossoming." I can't replace them they are so rare.

  • This is high-end, almost impossible to find rare-rare coloration.
  • Ready to be mounted into high end earrings.
  • We will be happy to mount them for you and I would love to design the earrings FREE.
