Notes - The rarest color of blue tourmaline (deep sapphire) not the lesser "popsicle blue," which is more common and dealers are selling as indicolite, and this is rarer than almost all indicolite and more aptly titled sapphire blue.

You just rarely ever find this color blue in tourmaline. It is an exciting day when a miner discovers this material and it is often mistaken for sapphire

Master Cut in Germany and this gem has been observed by three GIA Graduate Gemologists. It was cut from controlled rough (rough our agent bought at source) in the hands of our agent from mine to faceting.

Mined in Namibia where this rare color is discovered on occasion.

When it comes to blue tourmaline you will see a lot more paraiba blue than this color, which is truly a collector’s gem. It is also perfect for jewelry. This is not the blue coming currently out of Afghanistan it has no green in this gem. BLUE on BLUE!

This is the perfect size for a Men's or Women's ring and large enough for a pendant.

This is the first and only Namibian sapphire blue tourmaline that I own.

The fact that it is Flawless makes it even more rare. Not too large for an engagement gem.
