Marlborough Green Chrysoprase, Perfect Sugar-Loaf Cabochon, Flawless Imperial Color
Gem - Marlborough Green Chrysopase
NOTE - This gem was mined out by the high end jewelers by 1980s’ and this is the best rough vaulted since 1973. This is the highest quality green, no longer mined. Mine exhausted. This is not dyed crap made to look like Marlborough, this meets or exceeds Van Cleef & Arpels quality, probably exceeds most and matches their finest quality jewels made in 1970’s.
Cut- Precision Sugar Loaf Cabochon Beveled Base By Doug Mulling in 2019 in USA. Rough dates to 1973.
Color - Highly desirable bluish-green. This color is unique to the Marlborough mines which have been exhausted since late 1970s’ and are closed now.
Clarity - Translucent eyed Coleman material very rare in this color, origin and size.
Rarity - Very rare. Most of this material available is mounted already in very expensive pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels. Great opportunity for artisan jewelers or to buy and have mounted by your jeweler.
