Color - Purplish-Red, a.k.a. Pigeon Blood Red. Just outstanding and exemplary of why this gem has been mistaken for ruby in Crown-Jewels, globally only modern technology revealed the Royal mistakes.

Clarity - Inclusions typical for a type III gem (like emerald,) and none detract from the beauty. A top stone it takes a gemologist with a loupe and more likely many can’t identify this from a $500,000.00 plus ruby unless truly skilled at Gemology.
