Notes - Mahenge Garnet, 1.90ct Oval, American Master Cut, Rarest Imperial Color. Popular engagement gem when it can even be located, mine exhausted. Wholesales at around 1000.00 to 1200.00 per carat often for this top color material. Big Winner at the Tucson Gem Show, it sold out. This padparadscha type Imperial color was by far the most desirable mahenge garnet. It is hard enough for daily wear and the dispersion and brilliance are phenomenal only exceeded by 10,000.00 a carat Demantoid garnet.
