NOTES - Pyralspite is a super-rare garnet rarely seen on the market. Some poor quality rough remains for sale. This garnet is sometimes referred to as a Malaya or Malaia Garnet but in truth it is it’s on form of rare garnet. This gem does exhibit a slight color shift from pinkish red to reddish pink and even orangish under incandescent and all of the color shifts are very attractive. If the gem is in the brown range it is of poor quality. It is now illegal to import this gem as rough material out of Africa. The rough we have is vaulted rough and we have cut most of the high quality pyralspite we had. This is your chance to own a gem of extreme rarity, no brown tones, cut to diamond standards in the United States. This is an artisan jeweler or collector’s dream gem.
